The First Robin!

I'm not sure what I am most excited about today....the fact that I am painting with a window open, the fact that it might actually hit 50 degrees today, or the fact that I am actually, finally painting again! I have just had the "dreaded dry spell" of no painting! Ugh! Between scrap booking for our upcoming senior daughter's graduation, working on the new website design, Easter events, and working on our Spring Event Open House - well, let's just say that one of the balls I dropped was painting :/  But, shouts of joy ring from my studio windows today, (especially since the windows are open) as I am finally back at it.  There are many, many things in life that make me feel 95% happy and complete, but when I sit down to paint, I feel 100%  - few things in life that make me feel this way! The arrival of Spring is truly one of my favorite moments in life, and in particular, seeing the first robin is something I always look forward to. On Saturday, I not only saw my first robin, but there were maybe 20 or 30 of them!! We were out and about finishing up errands and last-minute Easter preparations, when we came across an entire group of robins walking and pecking around! This sight made my heart leap, as if to say, "They're here! They're here! The robins are here!"
These orange-breasted birds are the tell-tale sign that Spring has "officially" started and I welcome the season with open arms after what seemed like a very long winter. We are still working on our website, but coming very, very close to launching it. I can't wait until it is up and running - I think you are going to love it : )
Wishing you all a wonderful, warm Spring day! Thanks for reading....shine on - Bonnie
