Switching gears for Winter
It's so hard letting go of those last days of fall, when the leaves dance around your feet and you can sit on the porch at the end of the day in a sweatshirt and still be comfortable. Here in Minnesota we have already embraced our first nasty snowfall, icy roads and I would venture to say, that every furnace is active these days.
AROUND THE STUDIO... Things have switched gears from Autumn to Christmas... the studio is now decked out in red and green from top to bottom!! The decorating is complete, the cookies are in the oven and we are ready for our 2nd big weekend of Open House... COME ONE, COME ALL! We hope to see many of you this weekend. The boys and I made a trip to our local radio station KDUZ/KARP last Friday to cut the Holiday Christmas ad for Bonnie Mohr Studio. The boys are always ready for an adventure, and I think the ad turned out great.
COW TALES AND FARM NEWS... The crops are in and fall tillage is in progress. John still has some winterizing to do outside with waterers and moving some cattle home, but for the most part, the heaviest brunt of harvesting and fall work is on the down slide. Everyone has dug out the long johns and winter gear for chores... oh, and the hot chocolate too. Not much else new to report this week.
FAMILY MATTERS... the cousins are here, the cousins are here. Our second daughter Katelyn is pictured here with her cousins Elizabeth and Abigail - Lizzy and Abby as we say! The girls spent a day with us, while their mom attended a convention in Minneapolis. Thanks for the memories girls - and oh Abby, I will try to work on my messy laundry room. Don't you just love how honest kids are!! And anyone who knows anything about MN, knows that next to Football - the next most important thing is deer hunting. John is out with our boys Jacob and Zachary these days, trying to scare up a deer. I believe there is still too much corn out there, not too many deer sightings around our place. They never lose heart though, and are always ready to go again!! Maybe this weekend. Staying warm in Minnesota - hope you are too! Thanks for reading...
