On the Easel
Back to painting time for me ;) YEAH! After all the hoopla of a very exciting, event filled new year, I am finally settled back into my painting chair, where I feel a great passion and love in my life. There is a 'wholeness' that resonates with my inner self that I can't explain - but it is that kind of feeling like when you are talking to someone on the phone, and even though you can't see them on the other end, you know they are smiling! You can't explain it, but you just know it, it is a feeling......an expression.......a deep rooted joy that just naturally comes out. More updates to come on this painting soon - but for now, you get a quick peek!
This is such a great time of the year - there is new life and new energy EVERYWHERE! The robins are so fat they can hardly get off the ground anymore (their tummies are as big as baseballs!), Confirmation, 1st Communion, new baby calves being born, and every farmer has their machinery washed and waiting at the end of the driveway, as though they are waiting for an announcer to say 'GO'! I love this time of year!! We just celebrated Jacob's Confirmation this past weekend! It was a very special day for him and our entire family ;) A mom's delight to see their 'almost grown kids' all spiffied up and so clean cut! We enjoyed lots of our family being here to celebrate with us, and I even put on the apron and served up homemade barbequed meatballs, ham, and mashed potatoes and gravy!
