October is gone

Happy November!... the month of October has already faded away - it left as quickly as it came! We spent most of the month hoping for sunshine and good weather to get into the fields and harvest the crop, but were faced with above average rainfall and cold temps. Now we continue to hope for adequate sunshine and good weather to wrap up harvesting!
AROUND THE STUDIO... I will be finishing a corporate commission this week. I wish I could give you a look at it, but feel I should respect my clients privacy and allow them to be the first to view their own painting. You will get a 'look' a little later. The holiday newsletter/catalog update mailed the end of last week - it should be arriving in your mail very soon!! Please let us know how we can help you with your holiday orders and Christmas card needs!!
COWTALES AND FARM NEWS... Cleaning lots, hauling manure, TRYING to harvest, and just plain 'ole fixing the equipment that's been breaking down is John's agenda. Fall is a very busy time of the year - we pray for good weather this week to continue with all the outside work that needs to be accomplished!
FAMILY MATTERS... Congratulations to Kate, recently inducted into the GSL National Honor Society! As members of this youth group, her work now begins, along with about 15 other students who will be helping with community service projects and school activities. We also celebrated Jacob's 11th birthday with 6 little boys at our house for a sleepover!! The evening was filled with pumpkin carving, football, hot tubbing, pizza, games and lots more!! At 4AM they were still having a jumbo wrestling tournament going on in the basement!! AND the season of football comes to a close for our boys. The last game was cold and muddy, but the boys never- ever - loose their spirit and love for this sport! Coach Gary (and several other volunteer coaches) did a great job working with these kids - THANK YOU for your time and talent! BACK to painting... stay warm, and thanks for reading! Bonnie
