Guernsey cows come from the Island of Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands between England and France. The breed has been purebred on the island for over 1,000 years! Guernseys are known for their beautiful fawn and white coats, often with striking patterns. The unique golden color of Guernsey milk comes from an unusually high content of beta- carotene and many Guernseys naturally produce A2 beta-casein milk, which some people find easier to digest making the breed more popular in health-conscious markets.
