Autumn Arrives in the Farm and Ranch Magazine...

As I write this blog posting, the wind is stirring outside my half opened window.  The sky is charcoal gray and I can hear the leaves rustle about - it is a bittersweet feeling of trying to embrace autumn, even though the weather is 'grumpy' today.  We have already experienced our first hard frost, so harvest is setting in quickly. The guys are busy chopping corn silage today, so there is an occasional hum of tractors passing through the yard.   I have three pumpkin pie candles lit throughout the house, (smelling it all day is just about as good as eating it all day!) and there is a fresh batch of chili awaiting the supper table! This is truly my favorite time of the year.
Today's mail also brought a pleasant surprise, the Oct./Nov.  issue of Farm and Ranch Living Magazine arrived.  A whole year has passed since I did a one month journal for them, during the month of October in 2010.  It was a one month journaling experience of life on a MN Dairy farm, raising our children here, and running an art business on sight.   I am once again amazed at the fleeting of time.

If you are interested in having a look for yourself, you can go online at www.farmandranchliving.com or call 888-858-5417 to order an issue or inquire where you can find it in a store near you.  I hope you will enjoy this issue, stocked with great autumn recipes and decorating ideas too! Happy Autumn - Thanks for reading! Bonnie
