New for Summer

...June 4, 2008

AROUND THE STUDIO... not much new to show you this week,... I almost have two additional pieces ready, but need to get finishing touches on them. You will be able to see some new things next week. Hopefully many of you received an e-newsletter from us this past week. If you didn't and would like to, please email us your address and we will get one sent to you. As I continue on a new journey of testing out different painting surfaces and styles, I would invite those of you who have unique ideas for 'painting subject matter' to submit your ideas to me. No promises, but it's always interesting to know what type of paintings and artwork you are looking for... thanks!

COW TALES AND FARM NEWS... our crops are all in and up! With adequate moisture so far, things are growing nicely. John hopes to make hay this week, although it has been overcast and drizzly these past few days. On a brighter note... featured today is a picture of the 'BOYS WITH THEIR TOYS'!! No dairy farm would operate smoothly without a Bobcat, or a piece of equipment of the sort. His old machine was, lets just say, on it's last leg. It was time for an upgrade, so here's a look at the latest arrival to our farm.

FAMILY MATTERS... today is the last day of school - yikes!! It seems like I was just taking their pictures on the first day of school, and here we are wrapping up another year. After today, we will officially have a Sr., Sophomore, 8th grader, 4th grader, and 1st grader!! Wow... it's been 18 years since I've been home alone Monday through Friday! I think I just might like this idea. Today's family picture is a shot taken at last weeks gymnastics practice, as Taylor performed a handstand on the beam! She will train hard now through December, at which time competition will begin again. As we begin the summer of 2008, I wish for all of you mosquito free days, lots of lemonade on the front porch, and plenty of time for picnics and family fun! Have a wonderful day, and thanks for reading.
