Busy Painting

The countdown has begun....World Dairy Expo, our biggest week of the year, is now less than two weeks away. YIKES! In an effort to be a better "crowd pleaser" this year, I am desperately trying to get some new paintings completed by then. I thought you might enjoy a peek at one of the paintings I’m working on....can you guess what I am painting?? I took this shot of it a couple of weeks ago, so it is actually now within days of being done. Please stop by the booth and check out my new work this year — or watch our website for information on my newest artwork in the next few weeks. The printing of some of these new works will have to wait until our return from the show, but will be finished in plenty of time to get your orders in for the holidays ; )

On the farm and around the home front: half of fourth crop hay is made, the other half is getting rained on for the third day in a row : ( Jake got a deer over the weekend, with bow and arrow. One shot, 25 yards, followed the blood trail and brought home a 6-point buck (lots of excitement around here!!) Zach has his first football game in the bag....a huge victory for their team! We put away another 45 quarts of salsa this past weekend, and the leaves are just starting to turn (YEAH – I love autumn). We even dug out our sweatshirts, a few cool days already.

Back to work....
Thanks for reading.....(Oh, and don’t forget to check out our BRAND NEW WEBSITE!)
