A personal note from Bonnie: Ducks have been domesticated for more than 500 years, and there are more than 40 domestic breeds of them. They are the only farm animal that lives on land, water and in the air. This is Derby the Duck! She, like all other ducks, have highly water proof feathers so that even when they dive underwater, their downy under layer of feathers next to their skin stay completely dry! Derby’s favorite things to eat are corn, oats, leafy greens and vegetables.
