Wood Art - Birth Of An Industry

Birth of an Industry was commissioned by Balchem for their Real Faces of Dairy project in 2016. BIRTH OF AN INDUSTRY models the future and hope not only of all dairy farmers but the dairy industry as well. This newborn Holstein calf and her mama bask in the early morning sunshine and dew-dripping grass pasture as they enjoy the natural mother/baby bond that comes so instinctively for both animals and humans alike.

A personal note from Bonnie: I captured this early morning setting just a few hours after this new baby was born into our herd this past July! We love to calve our cows in out on our pasture in their most natural habitat.
