I'm back!....

Hello everyone! Finally, a little time to sit down and BLOG!  Actually, I think I will BLOG, BLOG, BLOG! I have a some catching up to do!

First, I extend heartfelt wishes to all of you, that in the business of life you have been able to get outdoors and saturate yourself into the beauty of our autumn world.  The colors adorn the countryside like rich jewels in a spot light.  Our region of the country has been blessed with 10 consecutive days of 60-80 degree sunshine.  Every field in the area is full of activity with tractors, wagons , combines, haybines, and tillers working hard and steady - day and night!  The countryside is changing right before our eyes as the crops are being harvested and the land is being turned over for a long winter's sleep.

The leaves are glowing, turning, fading and falling with each passing day.  We celebrate this time of year with pumpkin bars, final camp fires in the back yard and decorating the house with Halloween effects and pumpkins galore!

On to business!  The past few weeks, like every other year, proved to be the craziest of the year.  Coming off a 12 day run at the MN State Fair, gave us only 3 weeks to unpack, re-inventory, reorder, repack, and get to Madison, WI for the World Dairy Expo.  It's sort of a blur when I think back to the amount of activity crammed into the last month its a test of sorts!

Well, things came together just fine, and we departed on Sunday morning, September 26th, Madison bound.  It was a good drive, and we enjoyed the scenery and conversation as we went.  A 1 ½ hour bottleneck on interstate 94, only 40 miles from Madison was the  only glitch of our trip.  We unloaded the trailer Sunday night, set up all day Monday, and embraced the next 5 action packed days of our 25th Anniversary Show at World Dairy Expo!  It was a great week.  The customers and friends we've made over the years, make the event special and memorable!  Thank you!  We appreciate your business and we especially enjoy your friendships.  I am awed by the fact that I have made this 25 Year journey, survived it all, and still love it.  I would like to thank my wonderful staff, Diane, Jayne, Karen, Lana, and Nancie, for making each year possible...they are the best and this undertaking would not be possible without each and every one of them.  I also take this opportunity to thank my dear friend Jayne Dinse who has been  with me at every single World Dairy Expo.

Jayne is one extraordinary woman, with an energy and zest for life that I believe parallels me.  Few people in this world experience the kind of true friendship that we do...thank you Jayne, I'm blessed to have you at my side!

Another highlight of this years WDE, was the presentation of the Hoards Dairyman Foster Mother of the Human Race giclee to the World Dairy Expo Staff. The presentation was made on Tuesday evening at the Hoards Dairyman Exhibitor Party as a part of their celebration of 125 years in business.

And now, we interrupt this blog, for a brief "bragging moment". It took us 25 years to accomplish, but we would like to share our big news - Bonnie Mohr Studio was awarded the Best Booth Award  (Small booth award category) at this years World Dairy Expo - !  We were excited and delighted.  Thank you to the staff of Expo who made this a terrific event for everyone.

Meanwhile, back at home, we are now unpacked, re-inventoried (again!)  and getting ready for our upcoming Holiday Open House, scheduled for November 11-14.  We will post full details within the next week on our website.  Also, please watch your mail for the fall newsletter, scheduled to mail in the next couple of weeks!  I will be settling into my 'painting chair' again sometime this week.  There are lots of new things waiting to emerge from this studio.  More on this later....! On another note, you can now keep track of us, (quite possibly with more timely announcements and news updates) on Facebook under 'Bonnie Mohr Studio'.  Check us out and if you 'like", know that we "like" back!  : ) The kids are busy with school, football, college visits, and enjoying the autumn too!  Mid-quarter is upon us this week, unbelievable!  My children continue to grow, learn and develop into young beautiful people.  I am grateful that our dairy farm offers a wide pallet of adventure, opportunity and experiences that shape and grow wonderful kids!  God Bless America and especially the country roads of rural America where we grow good food, cows and kids too!

John is moving at full speed, harvesting, hauling, haying, doing chores and more chores, and on top of it all, supporting Bonnie Mohr Studio by helping me get to and from shows...Thanks John for all you do! Time to get to the kitchen...everyone will be in soon, asking "what's for supper?"  Hopefully I can find my magic wand and whip something up quick! With the shows over now I am making blogging a priority and will do my best to get weekly posts done!  Thanks for reading...
