Happy Spring!...

Happy Easter - Happy Spring! There is probably no other season of the year that is more exciting, or muddy, than spring on the farm!  We have already delivered dozens of newborn calves, two litters of kittens, the tulips are now a foot high, the grass is a promising green, and we have had more rainy days in the last month than I can count.  The arrival of this spring has been more anticipated than any I remember for some time because of the long, hard winter we experienced.  I believe it was the second snowiest on record! I guess every once in a while, you have to 'toot your own horn'...that being said, I would invite you all to pick up an April issue of 'Womeninc.' magazine.  I am grateful and honored to have an article in this 'women in business' based magazine, published in southern Minnesota, and also achieved a surprising 'cover position'!  You can go online at www.womenincmagazine.com to learn more.  Thank you Womeninc. for this wonderful opportunity! Last week, John and I were able to 'escape' the farm/studio for a quick three day vacation - something we have been trying to do all winter.  There is probably no better medicine in the world, to regain a sense of love and appreciation for your life and work, than to leave it behind for a few days every once in awhile.  It was a hard & fast little trip, but it served our purpose well.  We enjoyed two days of visiting friends and family in WI and IL, and spent a wonderful afternoon at the Nancy Noel Sanctuary! Nancy is a spectacular artist and showcases her stunning paintings in an incredible beautiful refurbished church in Zionsville, IN.  Networking with other artists, is an amazing opportunity, and seldom realized because of time and distance.  Thank you Nancy, Jane and Kathy - it was everything I imagined and more! My next blog posting will give you full details of the new image 'Living Today'.  The final stages of color correcting are being completed this week, and being on press is only a step away.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will have a 'start' on my next painting too - and can share a peek with you! Enjoy the season and world around you, as the warmth and colors of spring unfold, bringing new life and new joy. Thanks for reading..... Bonnie
